Created by a group of business students, MarketOverview.org is intended to be informative, interesting, and readable. There are plenty of finance sites on the internet, but most are unreadable for the average web surfer. Instead of using finance jargon, we write in casual, understandable English and define most of the technical terms that are used.
This site was created to provide an overview of what stock markets are and how they operate as well as give a more in depth description of the Alternative Investment Market. The companies that were chosen to profile emphasize the variety of companies that are traded on the AIM. India Hospitality Corp., led by Jason Ader, acquires and develops tourism related assets in India, while Neteller, led by Ron Martin, specializes in safe online money transfer services. Majestic Wine Warehouses and Leadcom Integrated Solutions are also examples of the diverse and successful companies that are publicly traded on the AIM. The Alternative Investment Market is home to over 1400 dynamic corporations from around the world.
We believe that markets should have the minimum amount of regulation required to function. However, we also support the little guys. We believe that smaller companies should have the same access to funding and capital as the major multinational corporations, and we dedicate this website to the entrepreneurial spirit present in companies of all sizes.
